Introduction

The Industrial Problem Solving Class of 2011-2012 is planning on entering NASA's Great Moonbuggy Race in Huntsville, Alabama in 2012.  This is a race where high schools and colleges from around the world gather to race their own moon buggy creations.  The course is .7 miles long and is made to simulate the moon's surface.  NASA has provided the participants with design criteria to try to keep the project as close to original as possible.

How it started

Our moonbuggy project started in mid December, 2010, when our instructor, Mr.  Schrank, informed our class of NASA's Great Moonbuggy Race.  We looked up the NASA site, looked at the criteria, and watched their video and all agreed that we would try participating in the project because it seemed interesting, fun, and a challenge.

We have decided not to go to Huntsville this year in order to save our funding for the moon buggy and the trip to Huntsville next year.
